I'm finally done with summer classes! It feels great knowing i don't have to think about studying for a test again for at least another month or so. These past couple of weeks have been relatively busy. So as a quick recap from my last post: Birthday was good, found a place to live, finals sucked. That pretty much sums up what's been going on. I'm thoroughly enjoying being 21 finally. The Elephant Room is fantastic along with Pete's Dueling Piano bar. Also I can play free pool at rack daddy's now on monday and tuesday! (used to have to pay the 5 dollar cover charge on monday/tuesday) So many things for me to do now... if only i had the funds to act on more. Which leads into the next topic. I need a job. I'm looking now for any possible places that will hire me for a month. Andy suggested to me go try the temp agencies where you basically stand around and people pick you up and have you do manual labor all day... Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me, no contracts/strings, i work when i want, and good exercise. But i'm also a little concerned about being the only english speaking person out there. And being driven to nowheresville w/o my car. Don't like the separation.

I'm really excited. The place has a great feel to it and the location is the definition of prime. The only qualm I have is the homeowners association doesn't allow pets... Which may pose as a problem because I don't think the "But Bu is a family member" argument will work too well. The plan is to just hide her very well. The only issue will be finding a way of keeping her off the window sills without her peeking her head through the window blinds. She loves to just stare out the window at nothing. The price is a little higher than I was hoping, but in this case I honestly believe it's worth it. We move in the 5th (assuming all the papers go through) *crosses fingers* When we do I'm thinking housewarming party.
I woke up today at 5:30 am to take Dane to get his driver's liscence. We got there at 6:55 and there was already someone waiting at the door o_O We got an extremely lucky break, we were second in line and when we went around back and were checking my car for all the required stuff (registration/insurance card) i realized the night before when we checked to make sure I had the stuff in my car I accidently took out my current insurance card with the old ones. Yep, that's me, world's biggest douche. I felt extremely miserable because this had been the third day that Dane had been to the DPS to get his liscence. First two days he got there too late and the driving tests had filled up before he could get an appointment. So we went inside to get try to get the insurance info faxed over, but the lady said they wouldn't wait for it to get there so they gave his spot to someone else. Just a little later the DPS people found they had accidently "overlooked" an time slot for another driving test. So we got the 9:35 time slot, had the info faxed over, and Dane passed with flying colors.
I'm trying to schedule a few upcoming activities. First on the list is a trip to Schlitterbahn. I've never been, but I've heard it's absolutely amazing. I'm thinking August 16th; that's a completely arbitrary date I pulled out of nowhere. The other thing is I'm hoping to get enough people together to have a boat party on lake austin in sept ember. Someone we know is able to get us a discount of around 50% off the price so it should actually be affordable to us poor college students. If you're reading this and you live in Austin, let me know what dates work best for either trip. I know this is probably futile and no one actually reads this, but it's worth a shot. But off to sleep, and not waking up till I feel ready to rejoin society.
